La Tremblaye’s environmental policy La Tremblaye aims to produce top quality milk for making top of the range cheeses. La Tremblaye, therefore, takes great care to ensure that its herds meet the strictest hygiene requirements and that the health and hygiene regulations are applied in the dairy. La Tremblaye’s primary aim is to ensure the quality of the milk and cheese it produces but it is, nevertheless, concerned with environmental protection and resource management. A farm such as this must take account of environmental issues. We have, therefore, adopted an ISO 14001 policy for La Tremblaye’s milk and cheese business. This involves:
- Complying with the current and future legislation and setting up a procedure to monitor regulations.
- Setting the standard for environmental management in our activity and being able to demonstrate this whenever required to do so.
- Continuously improving environmental management by stimulating the personnel and informing them about specific environmental goals.
The ISO 14001 policy applies to the whole farm (breeding, crops, cheese dairy and sewage plant) but does not include the SOREDAB laboratory. In 2005, we conducted an environmental study to identify the major problems on La Tremblaye farm. We also set up a documentary system which is regularly updated. We are committed to incorporating environmental protection into the company strategy and to minimising the harmful impact of our activity on the environment. La Tremblaye is open to discussion to ensure transparency and mutual respect with the general public, customers, suppliers, neighbours and authorities.
